Ecologist/Senior Ecologist

Full time, permanent, salary dependent on experience

We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and skilled ecologist/senior ecologist, ideally with one or more protected species survey licenses, some experience of biodiversity offsetting and a proven track record working within a variety of sectors, to join our Ecology Team to work on projects of varying sizes across a variety of sectors.

Keystone Ecology would like to hear from ecologists who want to expand their knowledge by working in a team that not only designs but delivers exceptional quality mitigation/habitat creation schemes and who have sound knowledge of current ecology legislation, planning policy, survey standards and licensing requirements plus the ability to deliver robust, clear and concise client advice and written outputs.

Who should apply

Candidates with a degree in an ecological discipline and 2+ years experience preferably within a specialist ecology consultancy.  Ideally you will hold one or more protected species licences, a full UK driving licence and be a member of CIEEM.  You will live within commuting distance of our Tetbury office or be willing to relocate.

The Role

You will be responsible for the management and delivery of consultancy projects, from inception to completion, which includes but is not limited to:

designing project briefs; production of quotes; fieldwork; provision of client advice; liaison with regulators; production of reports and other outputs; and the management of sub-contractors.
