Wetland SSSI restoration at Quoisely Mere, delivering sensitive vegetation clearance, natural outflow regeneration, and floodplain creation.

Keystone delivered habitat creation, biodiversity enhancements, and a five-year management plan to support long-term ecological gains at Chesterton Cemetery.

The route was carefully designed to connect housing parcels while providing ecologically sensitive access through the ‘Central Ponds’ wetland area, allowing residents and visitors to experience the site’s natural beauty without disturbing its important habitats.

Keystone were commissioned to survey and condition assess 54 of Surrey Council’s land holdings for Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) potential. covering a total of 1,781 hectares and comprising a diverse range of habitats, including 29 kilometres of watercourse.

Keystone Habitats were engaged by national utilities provider, SGN, to deliver habitat enhancements recommended by our Ecology team following a Biodiversity Net Gain assessment.

In April 2023, Keystone Environmental were instructed by Kier Construction Ltd. to deliver a significant element of the vital ecological mitigation works involved in the National Highway’s A417 Missing Link scheme.

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) commissioned Keystone’s GIS team to undertake an assessment of remote sensing techniques as a means of updating the Habitat Map, which is based on surveys undertaken between 1979 and 1997.

Keystone Ecology were commissioned by a national utilities company to undertake UK Habitat Classification surveys and condition assessments of 150 sites in the south-east of England and Scotland, and develop suitable Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) enhancement strategies for site management and a potential BNG Habitat Bank.

Natural England commissioned Keystone to undertake an upland breeding bird survey of the South Pennine Moors SSSI and Phase 2 SPA, covering approximately 20,944.5 hectares of land across nine local authority regions and four counties (Greater Manchester, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire).
