The 2nd Edition of Bat Surveys: Good Practice Guidelines was published last week, four years since the first edition was produced. The revised guidelines include signficant amendments to survey methods and effort for dusk emergence/dawn re-entry survey of buildings, further survey effort and mitigation requirements for trees and methods/effort for bat activity surveys.
