New Reptile Survey and Mitigation Guidelines

The new guidance published by Natural England draws together existing guidance, recent research findings and field observations to produce a single set of standards for good practice in reptile survey and mitigation.

Species covered by the guidance are the 6 native species of terrestrial reptiles in England:  Adder, Common Lizard, Grass Snake, Sand Lizard, Slow Worm and Smooth Snake.

Keystone Ecology will be circulating an update to all our clients summarising the changes in brief and explaining what this means for developers.  If you do not already receive regular ecology updates from us but would like to, please complete our Enquiry Form and ask to be added to our ecology updates mailing list.
