Artificial Nest Sites

We are able to install a wide range of standard nest box designs including those for specially protected species such as Barn Owls. In addition we can produce site-specific designs to accommodate our client's needs.

For nesting ducks, waders and terns we can create floating or permanent islands to provide habitats free from disturbance and ground predators.

Habitat Creation/Restoration

Depending on the scale and complexity of the project we can carry out all work in-house or work as principal contractor to create/restore a broad range of habitat types, which are of positive benefit to birds that reside in or visit the UK for e.g.

Site Supervision

If the removal of nesting habitat during the breeding bird season is unavoidable we can carry out pre-works inspections and advise on the best protocol to follow to avoid the contravention of UK legislation.

To ensure mitigation schemes or conservation driven projects are created in accordance with specified designs we are able to provide staff with combined ecological and engineering knowledge to supervise our clients' contractors.

Habitat Management

To meet planning conditions or conservation objectives we are able to organise and implement a wide range of management prescriptions.
